Peaceful Wilderness Awaits

Wildwood

Our property is located high on a wooded ridge in the southwest portion of Hocking County off of US Route 56. One side of the ridge extends towards Tar Hollow State Forest and the other side towards Salt Creek Township. Each cabin is nestled within the forest where no other cabins or homes are visible. Nearly one mile of scenic walking trails are found within the property.

The main roads leading to our cabins are paved; however, they do narrow as you get closer to our property and it can become a bit bumpy in certain spots. The private drive leading throughout the property and to the cabins is gravel.

Old Man’s Cave is approximately 11 miles away and Ash Cave is approximately eight miles. A full service grocery store and restaurants are located eight miles away in downtown Laurelville. Detailed maps of the area are provided in the cabins to make it easier for guests to navigate during their stay.

Items to Bring

The cabins are fully equipped with everything that our guests might need for a comfortable stay, which include bath and kitchen towels, bed linens, cookware, dishes, and utensils. In addition, we provide dish soap and paper products. Food items and personal toiletries such as soap and shampoo are not provided.

 Embrace the Outdoors

You have decided to find a cabin in the woods – a serene and quiet place to relax. Now it is time to enjoy what the area and the property have to offer. Whether your time is spent watching the deer graze from your back deck or roasting s’mores on the campfire, we think you will appreciate getting back to nature.

Our forest is full of much wildlife but please do not approach or feed the animals. In addition, we do not recommend leaving food out on the porch or deck at night. We also suggest plenty of insect repellent.

The Hocking Hills region boasts many area attractions. Our cabins are surrounded by parks in all directions – Tar Hollow State ForestHocking Hills State ParkZaleski State Forest, and Wayne National Forest – to name a few. Visit our Explore Hocking Hills section for recommendations on things to do during your stay.
